Description:    Raw hand made chocolate with brazils, cashews, hazelnuts and walnuts. For real nut lovers. The nuts are coarsely chopped and then blended with the raw chocolate for a luxuriously nutty taste.

Ingredients:    Cacao solids, cacao butter, agave nectar, cacao powder (Ecuadorian), coconut butter, wild carob, brazils (6%), cashews (6%), hazelnuts (6%), walnuts (6%), cinnamon and Himalayan salt. 50% cocoa solids in the chocolate. Free from pesticides. Vegan diet.

Conscious Chocolate is only sweetened with blue agave nectar (cactus syrup). Agave nectar is suitable for diabetics as it is 85% fructose and has a low glycemic index and glycemic load (GI & GL) so it doesn’t imbalance the natural blood sugar levels. Conscious Chocolate is registered with both the vegan and vegetarian society and can be enjoyed by coeliacs and raw foodists (the temperature is always kept below 42°C).

The chocolate maker:    Conscious Chocolate was founded in 2006 by vegan chef, Iyengar yoga teacher and chocolatier Emma Jackman and is situated on a farm in West Kent, UK. The raw ingredients are all sourced as unheated or sun-dried. The ingredients are prepared entirely by hand at low temperatures (below 42˚C). It is imperative for Conscious Chocolate to know the country of origin of each ingredient to make sure it is fairly traded, transported and ethically sourced and to ensure the ingredients are organically certified and that pesticides and spays are never used. Emma uses super foods, therapeutic grade essential oils and other interesting ingredients such as maca, blue-green algae, lucuma and yacon root. The packaging is all entirely biodegradable and compostable.
